Compatibility!

I was about to jump on board but then realised it doesn't support UE4/ UE5 straight out of the box, instead requiring a very fiddly, manual process to retarget.

These days, being able to export directly to major game engines is a must.

  • Hi Mark! Any animation you want to import to UE4 or UE5 will require you to go through a retarget process for the first time. For UE4, we provided the full bone mapping file so all you have to do is upload it. For UE5, they changed the process a bit, but after the initial set up, you can easily add more animations without any further actions needed. We provided full tutorials which should take less than 5 minutes if you're familiar with UE.

  • Hi. I have in fact jumped on board and bought a licence. But. Slightly find i am wasting time with a similar setup issue.

I have my animations for DM but the starting frames are always the start on the video clip.  What would make things more beneficial is, If the downloaded animations had a buffer of 10-30 frames that are in the (A) / (T) Pose so that l can better use the animation. would also help in retargeting.
